The annual performance review process is an opportunity to document employee performance, recognize achievements, and establish new goals and development plans for the coming year. The Performance Planning and Development process stresses the importance of effective and frequent feedback between supervisors and employees, and the annual review should be a natural conclusion to this ongoing process.
It is a University expectation that all represented and non-represented employees participate in a formal performance review annually. Written documentation of these meetings confirms the dialogue and becomes a permanent part of the employee file.
