Wayne State University provides two types of tuition benefits:
Benefit pays 100% of the cost of tuition, regular registration fee, omnibus fee, and fitness center fee for eligible employees.
- Reduced Tuition for Spouse/Child of Employee
Benefit pays 50% of the cost of tuition only for an eligible spouse/child of an eligible employee.
Please note: Neither benefit covers the cost of books, course materials fees, open or late registration fees, or late payment fees.
Both benefits entitle the student to a waiver of the non-resident portion of tuition.
DUE DATE for APPLICATIONS
For Fall, WInter and Spring/Summer terms, tuition benefit applications are due two weeks after the Last Day for Tuition Cancellation. For Spring only or Summer only terms, you have one week after the Last Day for Tuition Cancellation to submit your application. This is a deadline which will be firmly administered so the Payroll office can spread out any tax liability over more pay periods for that term. Students are responsible for any late fees that may be assessed.
We will only accept the latest form (dated 1/2013) for the Spouse/Child Tuition Benefit application so that we can administer the tax provisions accurately.
