What is Life Advisor EAP?
Open to all benefits-eligible employees and eligible members of their families, the Ulliance Life Advisor EAP benefit is a service provided by Wayne State University. This is a free benefit, and is strictly confidential. Neither your employer nor your coworkers will have any knowledge of your use of the EAP.

- Who is Eligible
This program is open to active benefit-eligible Wayne State University employees. The following employee groups are not eligible: stipend recipients, student assistants, temporary employees, hourly employees, employees with less than 50% full-time status, retirees, and terminated employees. Your spouse/household partner and dependents age 26 and younger are also covered.

Ulliance provides management services designed to help resolve personal problems that negatively impact an employee's work performance. Managers should call 1-877-912-2733 to set up any of the following services:
Management Consultation
When Supervisors/Managers/ Unions encounter an employee-performance situation or policy violation that is connected to a personal problem, they can confidentially call Ulliance for consultation. Issues we can assist with include, but are not limited to:
- Workplace violence/anger
- Conflicts with co-workers
- Management
- Substance abuse
- Harassment concerns
- Attendance problems
- Emotional issues
- Policy violations
- Communication tips for talking to employees
CISD
Critical Incident Stress Debriefings can be provided in the event of a workplace tragedy, such as an employee death or serious accident.
Management Referrals
Informal: a suggestion that an employee utilize EAP services. Your Account Manager can help you find effective ways to approach your employee.
Formal: a mandatory referral following a work performance problem or a policy violation. Both HR and the Account Manager must be involved in this type referral.
