Wayne State Alerts

Wayne State uses a broadcast messaging service to communicate safety alerts to the campus community via SMS texts. Sign up for the service at alerts.wayne.edu, or on Academica under the University Resources tab.

Safety alerts are automatically sent to all students, faculty and staff via email by the Wayne State University Police Department. These alerts may communicate information about significant weather events, campus closures, emergency situations and more. There is no fee, although text message charges or per-message fees from your provider may apply. Terms and conditions for Wayne State Alerts can be found at kb.wayne.edu/258494.

Programs and Training

The Police Department conducts and hosts a variety of crime prevention and safety awareness programs for our campus community. The purpose of these programs is to increase crime awareness and provide information that will reduce the likelihood that a crime could occur in our campus area.
